What that means
Some of the links on this site point to Amazon. If you click one and end up buying something — that product, something else, anything from Amazon within the session — we get a small commission. It doesn't cost you anything extra. Amazon pays us out of their margin.
We don't get paid to recommend specific products. Nobody's sending us parts. Nothing on this site is "sponsored content" dressed up as a build log. The links are there because if someone reads about a Walbro 525 or a Megacycle cam and wants to buy one, we'd rather they buy it through us than somewhere we get nothing for sending them.
How we pick what to link
We link to parts that the guys in the group chat actually use, mention, or would use if they were in the market. If an article talks about a specific brand of filter, that's usually the brand on the shelf — not a brand we got paid to promote. Where we link a search result instead of a specific product, it's because the right part depends on the year, model, or size and we'd rather send you to the search than guess wrong for you.
Other affiliate programs
We may add links to other affiliate programs over time (eBay Partner Network, parts suppliers, tool vendors). Any of those will follow the same rule: we only link to things we'd recommend anyway.
